Frequently asked questions
A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file that describes how to do a specific task. Claude reads the description to know when to use the skill, then follows the process inside. A skill can also include template files and reference documents.
On Claude web and apps, download the skill as a .zip and upload it in Settings, under Skills. With Claude Code, unzip it and put the skill folder in ~/.claude/skills/ or .claude/skills/ in your project. Skills depend on your plan and the options in your account, so if you do not see Skills, check your Settings.
The skills are written from common ways of working and checked for format, but not every one has been tested in every situation. Run one on a real task and adjust the SKILL.md to fit your workflow.
Yes. Tick several skills and download one .zip, or download the whole group you are viewing, or the entire library. To upload to Claude web, use the package for each individual skill.
